Way too Early 2023 Free Agency Targets

Free agency talk in the NFL is always intriguing and exciting for fans of all 32 teams. It’s always interesting to predict where players may end up and then actually seeing the results of where they will be playing in their future. The following article will feature 1, way - too early 2023 Free Agent to have on each teams watchlist list next off-season.

Pittsburgh Steelers - LB Blake Martinez

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be in search of another Inside linebacker next off-season to pair next to newly acquired LB Myles Jack. 2019 first round pick, Devin Bush, will be on the market looking for a new contract after the team decided to decline his fifth-year option. If not brought back to Pittsburgh, Blake Martinez could be a great addition. Although he did miss most of the 2021 season due to a torn ACL, the New York Giant was top 3 in tackles every year from 2017-2020. If Martinez impresses in the 2022 season, he may hit the open market and be on the Steelers Free Agent radar.

Baltimore Ravens - WR DJ Chark

It’s no question that the Baltimore Ravens have a very thin, young, and fair enough to say, an unproven wide receiver room. With that being said, DJ Chark would be a solid addition to the team with Rashod Bateman if he weren’t to go back to Detroit on his previous one-year deal.

Cleveland Browns - C Mitch Morse

Center may be a positional need on the offensive side if 2020 5th round pick, Nick Harris doesn’t pan out during the 2022 season. Morse was the 6th best graded center for the 2021 season, according to PFF, and was ahead of notable centers such as Ryan Jensen, J.C. Tretter, and Rodney Hudson. The 9-year veteran could be brought in on a 1-2 year deal if not brought back by Buffalo.

Cincinnati Bengals - TE Dalton Schultz

As it may be unfair to list a TE on the list, considering the fact we haven’t seen Hayden Hurst play a snap, the Bengals have two Tight ends in the Free Agency market for the 2023 off-season. Schultz was a recent breakout performer with Dallas, who franchise-tagged the 26-year old. If Dallas fails to reach an agreement on an extension, Dalton Schultz should 100% be considered a signing candidate for the Bengals.
